The artwork by Andy Warhol, Bob Colacello depicts the American writer Bob Colacello who in 1970 wrote a review of Andy Warhol's film Trash, catching the artist's attention and providing him with the opportunity to start writing for Interview Magazine, the magazine founded by Warhol himself in those years.
This is a very important milestone in Warhol’s career since it was used by Warhol as a proof for his later Ladies & Gentlemen series, and in fact he never made a silkscreen of it. This work is made in a black and white on acetate. This support began to be used in cinematography during the 1920s to replace the highly flammable nitrate film. In Andy Warhol's creative process, the use of acetate was an important building block, preceding the screen print of the image.

Andy Warhol was an American artist, film director and photographer, leading figure of Pop Art movement. Born in 1928 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania he changed the art world creating works inspired by Pop and mass culture. Among his masterpieces, Warhol depicted celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley, but also everyday objects like the iconic Campbell’s
Soup, and he made experimental films like Empire.
From a stylistic point of view, he rejected the dominant painting and sculpting techniques and embraced silk-screen printmaking, creating his typical flat areas of color and sharp outlines.
With his New York studio, The Factory, Andy Warhol created a gathering place for artists, intellectuals and celebrities. The scope of his art had a strong influence on other artists such as Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

- For shippings from Italy: from 49 $ to 499 $ for Italy; from 99 $ to 699 $ for Europe; from 149 $ to 799 $ for the rest of the world. The delivery time is 4 working days for Italy, 6-9 working days for Europe, 7-14 working days for the rest of the world.
WHAT IF THE ARTWORK IS DAMAGED?
When you receive your artwork/s, first of all you should check that everything is alright, that the pack is not damaged or wet. Anyway, we advise you to accept with reserve.
If once you open the package the artwork is broken or damaged, you have to contact us within 24 hours from the delivery date, and send us pictures that prove the damage.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
If you realize that you actually don’t like very much what you have bought, you can return any item purchased within 2 days from the delivery date.
Send us an emal to email@example.com, we will send you an email with a return form document. Without this document you can’t return any item. Then you have to carefully pack the artwork and send it to the address we will provide you.
Shipping costs and eventual damages (if the artwork is not insured) are on your charge. Once the artwork arrives we will refund you within 10 days from the artwork's delivery.
