Mimmo Rotella

Born in 1918, Mimmo Rotella is an important figure in European post-war art.

He is known for his décollages made of torn advertising posters of world-famous films of the period. As in Pop Art, his subjects are often celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley.

In 1961 he joined the New Realism movement and he was invited to important exhibitions like Venice Biennale, where he represented Italy in 1964.
